Mamdani Orders NYPD Use-Of-Force Review Amid Progressive Criticism
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani has ordered a department-wide review of NYPD use-of-force policies, marking the first such comprehensive assessment in a decade. While the administration frames this as a significant reform step, city officials deny a link to recent ICE violence, and progressive critics argue the measures fall short of campaign promises.
